New snow is on the horizon for West Coast resorts with a predicted one to two feet expected over the weekend in Lake Tahoe and Mammoth. This storm is hopefully a kick-off to miracle March of snowfall.

This weekend will also kick-off the fifth consecutive year of War of Rails at Bear Mountain in Southern California. The best freeskiers will battle it out for bragging rights and a cut of the $30,000 cash prize purse.

College students can save big on skiing and boarding in Southern California with Bear Mountain and Snow Summit's $99 Spring College Pass starting March 3rd through the end of the season.

Another great deal for skiing for cheap this next month is offered by Bear Valley. Located between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite, the resort will be offering $12 lift tickets, lessons and rentals any Tuesday in March.
