Shredding parks and pistes is about to get a lot more fun with your fellow lady snowboarders this weekend. Brighton Resort will open up their women’s-only terrain park, Krista’s Park, for two days of on-hill coaching for aspiring lady freeriders.
From 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., Krista’s Powwow will bring female snowboarders together for a full day of riding with coaches, including Burton ambassador and Olympic medalist Shannon Dunn-Downing. In addition to learning a few new moves, the event includes a catered sushi lunch, goodie bags and free prizes, afternoon yoga sessions and an après party with hot cocoa, wine, cheese, massages and more.
Presented by Burton Snowboards, the two-day weekend festival coincides with the Burton Mountain Festival, bringing with it free demos of Burton’s best snowboards, boots and bindings.
Tickets are $125 per day. Krista’s Powwow is open to ladies ages 13 and older. Limited spots are available, so register and pre-pay on Brighton Resort’s website.
