Washington’s Stevens Pass has launched the new Early Ups Program. The program gets skiers on the slopes for early morning first tracks before the lifts are open to the public.
The program runs on Saturdays and Sundays through March 30, 2014, with reservations required 48 hours in advance. Early Ups starts at 6:30 a.m. with breakfast in the Bull’s Tooth Lounge. Then, following a safety talk, the Pro Patrol escorts participants for as many laps as possible until 8:50 a.m.
Only six skiers can participate each day, and said participants must be able to handle advanced terrain. The $50 fee covers breakfast, escorting and early lift access, but a lift ticket is also required.
