The Portland OMSI is featuring the Tony Hawk Rad Science exhibit, a hands-on exploration of the physics behind action sports. Kids who visit can trade in their OMSI ticket stubs for a free lift pass at Mt. Hood Meadows.
The OMSI exhibit, which runs through May 4, explores science elements such as gravity, friction, force and momentum. Kids can learn about the science behind action sports in exhibits that include the Momentum Machine, Friction Hill and Wipeout Ambulance. With the free lift ticket to Mt. Hood Meadows, kids can then transfer their newly acquired knowledge to skiing or snowboarding on the slopes.
Once kids have visited the OMSI exhibit, they can turn in their ticket stubs for a free junior lift ticket at Mt. Hood Meadows. Junior lift tickets are for kids 13 years old and younger. The stub can be used instead for $39 off a lesson, holiday Kids Camps or the March Sunday Sno-Blasters program.
