The Wine-n-Wings Challenge kicks off some of the entertainment from 2-4 p.m. Saturday afternoon, Feb. 15. This is a traditional chicken wing challenge with a bit of a twist. Copper Mountain chefs are competing for the best wing and wine pairing. The resort reports, “With pairs such as sweet and spicy Asian wings with a Riesling to smoky barbecue wings with a Shiraz, this challenge proves that wings can pair with more than just a beer and a Sunday of football.” Head down to Burning Stones Plaza to join the fun and pick the perfect pairing.
Restaurants around Copper Mountain Saturday night will feature Vin & Din. They will pair comfort foods with affordable wine pairings. Copper reports, “Think burgers and Zinfandel and mac and cheese and Pinot Noir.”
Grab some snowshoes for a full moon Moonlight Snowshoe Tour, hosted by the Copper Mountain Resort Ambassadors. It’s free from 5-8 p.m. Saturday night, Feb. 15. No experience is necessary. Bring your own snowshoes or rentals are available. Headlamps are recommended, too. The snowshoe tour ends with s’mores around the bonfire and mulled wine on the plaza. Space is limited so call Guest Services to reserve a spot, at 970-968-2318, ext. 45861.
Copper hosts the big bang with fireworks at 7 p.m. Saturday night.
