Powderhorn is boasting the Bag Jump as the latest and greatest base area feature. You can make the drop from up to 40 feet, landing in a large pillow full of air. Those who make the 40-foot jump have to weigh more than 65 pounds. Those who are a little lighter can make the 20-foot drop.
Something new at Powderhorn, “It was a huge hit. There were even a bunch of back flips and other antics performed,” said Dave Smith, the Powderhorn Mountain Resort Marketing Manager.
The Bag Jump at Powderhorn is open Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Holiday Mondays. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ski boots aren’t allowed and neither are hard-soled shoes. The cost per jump is $5. Or pay $30 for an all-day pass.
