Roost the Butte returns to Crested Butte, Colo. for another high-energy weekend, Jan. 18-19, and a change of pace from skiing and snowboarding. The two-day festival is a full throttle binge for snowmobile aficionados with all events open to public spectating.

Four events will showcase snocross, hillcross, hilldrags and snow ovals, and X-Games and amateur snowmobilers alike will prove what can be accomplished on these gas-powered skis. Roost the Butte is open for registration, available at RMSR Racing, for $25 per racer. Alternatively, racers can register on site on Jan. 17 from 6–9 p.m. in the WoodStone Grill. However you go about it, there’s a $5,000 pro prize purse up for grabs, so bring your helmet-clad game face.
