The Norse God of Snow is a regular on the slopes of Breckenridge. He’ll be there in a big way this year. The Colorado mountain town celebrates Ullr Fest again in January. It is the 50th year for the big celebration in Breckenridge, which features a crazy parade and festivities along with Viking hats on everyone in town.
Ullr Fest is a weeklong winter festival with events for everyone, Jan. 5-11. The highlight is the parade. Breckenridge expects more than 12,000 Ullr enthusiasts to fill the streets for the Ullr parade. Crazy float participants ski off jumps on Main Street or laze along soaking in a hot tub. The Ullr parade is Thursday, Jan. 9.
