Selkirk Tangiers offers a wonderful, classic heli skiing experience on a half million acres spread across the Selkirk and Monashee Mountains in British Columbia. Wide open powder fields fan down the flanks of massive glaciers and can pile up with as much as 60 feet of new snow every year, providing an experience heli dreams are made of—and lived out in BC style.

The operation attracts guests from all over the world who travel for the light and dry powder, occasional gladed run through old growth forest, as well as the spectacular scenery of peaks, spires and snowfields.

Thanks to heli-lodge’s location, just a few minutes from Revelstoke Mountain Resort, any day where weather prohibits flying can be spent cruising slopes that offer the most vertical in North America 5,620-foot vertical, and like the heli-operation, is also famed for copious snowfall and adventurous terrain.

The Hillcrest Hotel is the heli-lodge, although guests can also stay at the ski resort or in town. The Hillcrest is the day’s jumping off and ending point for all heli skiers, whether you are staying there or not. Spacious accommodations and common areas, as well as an expansive deck with outdoor Jacuzzis are full view of the Monashee Range. Après snacks and cocktails on the deck—weather permitting—is fabulous way to end the ski day.
