The ski lift company has installed free wireless LAN throughout the resort. This means that surfing using a smartphone or other wireless-enabled device is free for national and international guests. Initially there are a total of 22 hotspots (access points) across the resort. Using the wireless internet is easy – no access details or passwords are required. Users simply need to accept the business conditions.
Access points have been installed at the Restaurant Panorama, the 8er Treff and 8er Alm and at the lift stations for the Zillertal Shuttle, 8erJet cable car, 6-seater Holzalm chair lift, 4-seater Hochfügen 2000 chair lift, the Lamark lifts and at the tourist information at the entrance to the valley. The hotspots have a range of approx. 20m inside and approx. 50m outside, depending on the transmitting power of the mobile device in question.
Even more fun with the Hochfügen app!
Guests can now access the internet, share holiday photos with friends, log onto social networks, check emails and send tweets from the pistes and restaurants, all free-of-charge. Users of the Hochfügen app (Hochfügen ski guide for Android and iPhone) can also take advantage of the free wireless LAN. Thanks to the free network connection, you can access the latest information from the Hochfügen app while you are in the ski resort- real time snow reports, lift, piste and weather details, live camera images with real time video stream and messaging service for important messages. And you can also access and share ski movies, photos and ski lines via the wireless LAN both on the slope and in the après-ski bar.
