51st International Rope Race in Hochfügen on 20 April 2014

It’s not just racers and former top skiers who take part in this traditional Hochfügen race – numerous teams of 3 will also be heading to the starting line. Here it’s all about sticking together – this is not a competition for individuals! Participants ski in teams of 3, all tied together with ropes. Only a team can be declared the winner. While seconds determine victory and defeat in the racing category, most teams of three simply focus on the Olympic spirit and having fun. Teams which want to win the sought-after trophy should include men and women but otherwise are free to choose their team composition. The rope race is accompanied by live music and the traditional winter burning custom.
