For a lot of visitors to Wisconsin’s Cascade Mountain, tubing’s just as big a reason to come as the skiing. And with the changes Cascade has made, they’re ready for you.
First, the ski area’s added a 4,000-square-foot chalet to the tubing area, which now represents 20 percent of the ski area’s total winter business, along with six new tower snow guns for more efficiency.
Now come the deals: There’s a new $49 annual tubing pass available. At the $22 per day rate for adults, it takes only three visits to pay for itself. Next, on its hoped-for opening day of Nov. 29, shop for the holidays from 8 a.m. to noon that day and get 20 to 40 percent off select merchandise, including skis and boots.
