Copper Mountain is open for the season and is another one of the Colorado resorts getting blanketed with early season snowstorms. “Early season conditions at Copper Mountain are incredible right now. We’ve received 15 inches of snow since opening day alone! It’s a great time to get up on the slopes at Copper.” That’s according to Stephanie Sweeney, public relations, Copper Mountain Resort.

This is also where top ski teams from around the world head to train to get early time on the snow. The U.S. Ski Team Speed Center is open and the U.S. Alpine Ski Team is training, getting ready for the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.

One hot deal coming up at Copper at the end of November is the Woodward Remix, at the Woodward at Copper Barn. The indoor training facility is newly renovated and full of tramps, jumps, ramps and other fun. The Barn now accommodates actions sports with wheels, including skateboards and BMX bikes. The fun starts at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 29 with the GoPro Yam Jam (Rail Jam) in Center Village. At 2 p.m., it's Santa’s Workshop: Create-a-Skate in the Woodward Cage.

The Woodward Remix is Sunday, Nov. 30 and it includes Barn free sessions, skate and BMX demos, and free kids skate jams. Even Rocky, the Denver Nuggets mascot, will be there. The evening concludes with fireworks in Center Village. Woodward Remix is a grand re-opening event to celebrate the new renovations.
