Mt. Brighton, one of Southeast Michigan’s favorite ski and snowboard areas, is benefitting from a $10 million total facelift by its new owner, Vail Resorts Management.
The 53-year-old resort is getting a snowmaking overhaul with scores of new snow guns, pipe and pumps to deliver more snow to the slopes quicker and earlier. The enhanced ski area will be pumping out snow under all-new chair lifts, including a new quad-chair.
More updates include a re-contoured novice hill, expanded race hill, a new terrain park, new children’s ski and snowboarding school and totally renovated lodge that includes a new full-service restaurant.
