Whistler Blackcomb is the place for après-ski fans. As well as winning Best Nightlife in the Northwest, the resort has scooped the 2013 OnTheSnow Visitors' Choice Award winner for Best Overall Nightlife in North America. Just steps from the hill, Whistler's favorite aprés spots feature mountain views and ample patio space. Typically, there's live music and plenty of people partying when the lifts close.
WHERE TO GO FOR LIVE MUSIC: FireRock Lounge in Whistler Village offers an intimite setting with leather couches and dim lighting—perfect for enjoying the weekly live jazz music (usually on Thursday). Garfinkel's, also in Whistler Village, hosts live concerts and DJs. Thursday is locals’ night and Saturdays are always jam packed. Keep an eye on the VIP tables for visiting celebrities and A-listers.
WHERE TO GO FOR DANCING: The Savage Beagle Lounge & Nightclub features a chillout lounge upstairs, and a finely tuned state-of-the art sound system and a DJ booth downstairs. Alternatively, groove to a variety of beats including house, electro, top 40, hip-hop, rock, funk and the ever popular 80s retro nights at Tommy Africa's. Both are located in Whistler Village.
WHERE TO GO FOR DRINKS: The bars at the base of the mountain are the best places to ski or ride up to—for a drink, bite or to enjoy a local band/event. Merlin's Bar & Grill at the base of Blackcomb, Garibaldi Lift Co. (GLC) at the base of Whistler in the village and Dusty's Bar & BBQ in Whistler's Creekside will satisfy all.
