The 2012/2013 ski season marked Alta's 75th of operation. Alta is known for 560 annual inches of that famous Utah snow spread out over a variety terrain, as well as some great backcountry options within Little Cottonwood Canyon. For 75 years Alta has stuck to their guns, remaining one of three ski operations that still ban snowboarding, and become known as one of the premier skiing destinations in North America. 

Photographer Lee Cohen has been snapping photos in Little Cottonwood Canyon for a long time, and recently released a book titled "Alta Magic," chronicling some of the best skiing in Alta, with photos by Lee and short essays by various members of Alta's ski community.
