After putting your body through the wringer during the ski season, your body needs to recover. While rest can revitalize your body, hitting the gym can do wonders for your post ski season recovery.

OnTheSnow visited U.S. Ski Team athletes Grete Eliassen and Heather McPhie at the state-of-the-art Center of Excellence in Park City, Utah, to build an exercise routine you can do at home or in the gym.

These excercises are simple and can help to bridge the gap between postseason recovery and the more brutal preseason ski exercises that prepare your body for the season.

Check out the exercises below to improve your ski fitness even as the season comes to an end.

POSTSEASON WORKOUTS:

Heel Walks

Dumbbell Lat Pullover with Hip Flexion

Barbell Rotations

Weighted Hanging Leg Raises with Twist

Inverted Sit-ups with Leg Raise

To get a better idea of the mechanics of each excersize, OnTheSnow put together a photo gallery of Grete Eliassen and Heather McPhie...
