Zermatt Unpugged acoustic music festival returns April 9-13, 2013.

Founded as a singer-songwriter festival in 2007, it soon became a major winter event with more than 17,000 visitors per year. It traditionally takes place in April at nine different venues in Zermatt, Switzerland.

Among the 2013 guest stars on the central stage will be British singer Bryan Ferry and Italian singer Umberto Tozzi, Swedish rock band Mando Diao and German hip-hop legends Die Fantastischen Vier.

International stars, singer songwriters and newcomers celebrate good, honest and unadulterated sounds on the marquee stage, at vernissages, at Sunnegga and on the New Talent stages.

Past performances have included Suzanna Vega, Chris de Burgh, Alanis Morissette, Billy Idol, OneRepublic, Mando Diao, Seal, Jason Mraz and David Gray.

Tickets starting at CHF35 can be bought in Zermatt or online. Enjoy 35 free concerts in the village (mostly by lesser-known artists) and music on top of the mountain at 2,288 metres.
