As Idaho ski resorts wrap up the season, many have launched season pass sales for 2013-14. Skiers and snowboarders can get the best deals on season passes by purchasing them early.

Several ski resorts in Idaho have shut down lifts for the season, but more are pushing into April with skiing and snowboarding. Brundage and Pomerelle are scheduled to run through April 7. Bogus Basin closed at the end of March, but plans to re-open for the April 6-7 weekend. Schweitzer and Sun Valley plan to operate through April 14. While Lookout Pass has slated April 7 as closing day, the resort may add on skiing for two more Saturdays — April 13 and 20 — if conditions permit.

Many Idaho resorts have also put season passes on sale for 2013-14. Passes are available for all age groups. Several of them permit skiing the remainder of this season on next year’s pass.

Lookout Pass, Silver Mountain, Brundage, and Kelly Canyon run their season pass sales until April 30. The adult pass costs $199 at Lookout Pass and $269 at Silver Mountain. Brundage sells its adult pass for $369. Kelly Canyon is selling adult season passes for $249.

Magic Mountain is currently selling adult season passes at $239. Rates increase each month through December.

Pebble Creek gives skiers until May 1 to purchase season passes on sale. The adult pass costs $259.

Schweitzer Mountain Resort has its season passes on sale until May 31. The adult pass costs $629. After the sale, it goes up to $749.

Tamarack has its season passes on sale until August 31. The adult pass costs $319.

Bogus Basin already has run two season pass sales for next year. The adult rate of $299 is available now until September 30.

Sun Valley plans to announce its season pass sale later this spring. Passes usually go on sale in early summer.
