The Biggest Skiing in America is set to sail strong until mid-April. Montana’s Big Sky Resort and Moonlight Basin share boundaries on Lone Peak, where skiing on the upper mountain tops out seasonally with its deepest snowpack in spring.

Due to the shared boundary, the pair of resorts sell a joint lift ticket called the Biggest Skiing in America. The ticket allows skiers and snowboarders to move back and forth across Lone Peak and its shared ridges.

Both resorts plan to operate daily through April 14. Spring lodging packages give extra incentive to ditch work and head for the slopes.

At Big Sky Resort, you can stay slopeside in the Huntley Lodge starting at $99 per person per night available April 1-9, 2013. The rate, based on double occupancy, requires a two-night stay and includes lift tickets. The deal is for new reservations only. Call Big Sky Central Reservations at 800-548-4486 for more details or restrictions.
At Moonlight Basin, you can get the All-You-Can-Ski Deal, a lodging package available April 1-14. Lodging comes at 25 percent off, and a stay of two nights or more adds on free skiing plus a dining discount at Jack Creek Grille. Call Moonlight Lodging at 855- 876-8909 for reservations.

April also packs in the activities at both resorts. Big Sky runs its Military and Educator Appreciation Days April 5-7 with discounts on lift tickets and lodging. Pond skimming is slated for April 13.

Moonlight Basin runs its last competition in The Headwaters with the adult freeride division of the Spring Runoff on April 6. Closing day on April 14 features the Huck-a-Berry Jam in the terrain park.
