North America’s biggest ski and snowboard festival is slated to hit Whistler Blackcomb again in mid-April. The World Ski and Snowboard Festival mixes action on snow with fashion, music, film, and photography in one big long party for 10 days. Lodging and lift tickets packages are available for the festival too.

This year’s World Ski and Snowboard Festival is slated for April 12-21, 2013. On snow highlights include the slopestyle and big air competitions for the World Skiing Invitation and Association of Freeskiing Profressionals. Those events follow with Monster Energy’s Shred Show April 17-21 with slopestyle, big hip, boarderstyle, and dual mogul snowboard athletes wowing crowds.

Off snow events pack in free daily outdoor concerts, fashion shows, art competitions, and parties. Even dogs get into the action with a costumed parade for the Whistler Dogfest. New this year, organizers are adding a second presentation of the popular Olympus 72-Hour Filmmaker Showdown and an all-night party to the beginning of the festival. Local roller derby teams add an evening of full contact on the track.

Tickets for some of the festival’s signature events have already sold out. But the festival also includes plenty of free events, including the daily outdoor concert series and Shred Shows. A lift ticket is required to access slope venues to watch competitions.

Whistler Blackcomb is offering a ski and stay package that is available during the festival. You can get four nights of lodging and three days of skiing for $120 per person per night.
