When it comes to partying in the mountains, South Lake Tahoe is known to take top honors. From March 29 through April 14, Heavenly combines the best of winter and spring for the return of Spring Loaded, a two-week event of nonstop partying under warm, blue skies. The festivities kick off the last weekend of March with the U.S. Freestyle Championships, the mother of all mogul and aerial competitions. And as if watching the country’s best skiers rip it up isn’t entertaining enough, a DJ, beer tents and fireworks will keep the vibe strong all night.

Don’t be surprised if you find yourself riding the lift with Shaun White. He’ll be hosting High Roller Hold ‘Em on April 6, which combines a big air comp with Texas Hold ‘Em poker for a massive ski and snowboard party. Afterwards, get down with Unbuckle every afternoon for the ultimate après ski shindig at Tamarack, but save room for the annual Ski Patrol Fundraiser on April 14 at the top of the Heavenly Village parking garage, where a silent auction, raffles and drink specials will support local non-profits.

Before you head to South Lake, check out Heavenly’s Spring Loaded lift and lodging package, starting at $278 per person, which includes three nights at Ridge Tahoe and two days of lift tickets.
