Top Spring Skiing Destinations: Canyons Resort

Snow conditions are soft and creamy when spring rolls around at Canyons Resort in Park City, Utah. Despite soft snow and sunny skies, most of the action is happening off of the slopes. The sixth annual Spring Grüv returns to Canyons, March 22 through 31, for a 10-day festival that brings out the best wacky costumes and jam bands. Fit for spring breakers of all ages, the event kicks off with the crowd-pleasing, pond-skimming contest on Mar. 23, followed by a free afternoon concert by North Mississippi Allstars.

In fact, the most anticipated part about Spring Grüv is easily the back-to-back weekends of headlining bands performing free shows in the resort village. Peep dance-worthy sets from the likes of Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band (March 24), Toots & The Maytals (March 30) and Euforquestra (March 31). Expect to see a few familiar faces wandering the resort during the Operation Smile Celebrity Ski Challenge on March 30 for a dual slalom charity race that invites benevolent donors to compete alongside Hollywood and Olympic A-listers.
