With Mother Nature and Lake Superior still dumping snow across northeast Wisconsin, the three mountains of Whitecap received 15 inches last week alone over its 43 runs, and it’s still coming.

To celebrate what the resort says is the best spring snow in 10 years that’s projected to last into April, Whitecap is offering a fantastic deal to lure you up at least one more time to this area 20 minutes west of another ski town, Ironwood, Mich.

Head up and sign up for its Spring Madness Special. Starting at just $49 per person quad occupancy, with a two-night minimum, you’ll get: two nights' lodging, two lift tickets and breakfast both days. Add $25 and lunch and dinner’s also included. You’re talking a savings of up to $226, or 37 percent over comparable packages. That rate used to be available only weekdays, but now it includes weekends, too, through Whitecap’s projected closing sometime after Easter Sunday.

Whitecap’s three peaks feature both groomed, and for expert skiers and riders, just enough ungroomed powder runs to make it interesting and challenging. Use your savings to have dinner at the resort's restaurant, or to book a stay this spring or summer to bike the area’s 300-plus miles of the Pines and Mines mountain bike trail system.
