Ski Granby Ranch is preparing for a party. The big weekend is at the end of March for closing weekend ceremonies. “We throw a party at the end of the season as a way to say thank you to our guests and to celebrate a fantastic season,” says Marketing Manager Lisa Craig.
It’s also Easter weekend which Granby Ranch loves celebrating. The big Easter Bunny will be hopping by with plenty of eggs and good cheer. “This year, we’re going to have a backwards skiing Easter Bunny which is quite a hit with the kids. The bunny is quite a trickster,” added Craig.
The Easter Egg Hunt starts at 11 a.m. Over 2,000 eggs will be on the mountain. “Usually we put them right off the bunny hill so all the kids can get to them regardless of whether they ski or not.”
It’s followed by the traditional Spring Splash at the base area at 1:30 p.m. with plenty of music. Anyone 16 and over can sign up. “The idea is to see how far across the pond they can ski.” Craig adds that the crowd is big with lots of cheering and craziness, and family friendly costumes are encouraged.
All festivities are free to the public, but skiing will cost you a lift ticket.
Another ton of fun Ski Granby Ranch is offering is night tubing on Friday and Saturday night on the last weekend. Hit the tubing hill from 5-8 p.m.
Ski Granby Ranch closes for the season at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 31.
