Steamboat is celebrating plenty of snow this season as the resort looks forward to spring. The celebrations will be plentiful.
“Steamboat has always been known for its legendary Champagne Powder® snow, perfectly placed trees and friendly western heritage, but people sometimes forget that nobody knows how to throw a spring celebration like the ‘Boat,” says Rob Perlman, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation. “These innovative spring passes, complimented by a variety of specials, allow guests to check their cares at the door and enjoy time with friends and family without worrying about their wallet.”
The SnowSaver Package offers 20 percent savings on lift and lodging plus discounts on lessons, rentals, and restaurants.
The April Sun & Snow Package provides $50 lift tickets and 50 percent off second-night lodging when you purchase one night and a one-day lift ticket.
Two spring passes are also available. The popular Springalicious pass is back. This pass provides three days of skiing or riding in April for $99. The April Double Dip Pass is new and provides unlimited skiing and riding at both Steamboat and Winter Park during April for $159. Limited quantities of both passes are available.
It is also Billy Kidd’s birthday. Steamboat’s Director of Skiing and Olympic Silvermedalist and World Champion turns 70 this year. The resort will go all out to honor Billy on April 13. It’s also the day of the Cardboard Classic. Then the Splashdown Pond Skimming competition is at the base on the last day of the mountain, which is April 14.
Steamboat’s free concert series is also always a hit with live music at the base area.
- The Young Dubliners play March 9
- The Dunwells play March 23

This is Steamboat’s 50th Anniversary Season so you can expect it to go out with a bang.
