Woodward at Copper is getting a new look this summer. The indoor terrain park known as “The Barn” is getting rid of all of the Snowflex surfaces and using a new wheel friendly material called Skatelite. It boosts jumping progression for everyone from snowboarders and skiers to BMX riders and skateboarders.
Woodward is also getting a new mini foam pit with two-foot and four-foot jumps which will help develop beginner park skills. The street skate area is getting a huge new look as well, as it will double its size.
“The renovations to the Woodward at Copper Barn are very exciting,” says Stephanie Sweeney in the Public Relations Department for Copper Mountain Resort. “Woodward continues to raise the bar in not only winter sports training but now for summer action sports as well including BMX, freeride mountain biking, and skateboarding. These renovations will be completed just in time for summer camps to begin on June 16, giving campers a new Barn to explore as well there will be a new on-snow jib park with lift service at Green Acres.”
