TRAVEL:

Flights (via AirCanada or Pascan Aviation) or train service (on ViaRail) are available from Montréal or Quebec City to the town of Mont-Joli, where you can then rent a car for the scenic two-hour drive along the St. Lawrence River to Cap-Chat. You can also charter a flight (with other lodge guests) from Montréal or Québec directly to Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, near Cap-Chat, and then rent a car or taxi. The Lodge also offers a limited mini-bus service from Montreal and Quebec City. The final 40km approach from the reception office in Cap-Chat to the Lodge is made by snowcat.

STAYING:

The Chic-Chocs Mountain Lodge, located just outside the boundary of Parc Nacional de la Gaspesie, is open from Dec. 26 through late March, and from late June to early October. Rooms are approximately $249 per night for double occupancy, which also covers transportation by snowcat from Cap-Chat, all meals, guiding services and all equipment usage, including the latest backcountry skiing and snowshoeing gear.

Nearby, Parc Nactional de la Gaspesie also offers a variety of accommodations, including a dozen backcountry huts, roadside chalets or rooms at the Gite du Mont Albert, at the center of the Parc.
