When: Apr 1, 2009

Cost: $15

Owl's Head in Mansonville, Que., has a deal for you.

The Owl's Head $15 Tuesdays/Wednesdays are back by popular demand.

Never mind the Eastern Townships, these lift tickets are among the best deals in Eastern skiing.

No hassles, no coupons, just show up and plunk down $15.

Owl's Head is a family friendly resort overlooking Lake Memphremagog which runs from Newport, Vt., north to Magog, Que.

The resort's trails offer spectacular views of the lake, and on weekdays are quiet enough to have sparked this deal.

The price holds every Tuesday and Wednesday, even during holidays.

It's more than 60 percent off the regular price of $39.

Owl's Head has 44 trails, 100 acres of skiable terrain, a vertical drop of 1,772 feet, four quads - three of them high-speed chairs - and four double chairs.

Add in annual snowfall of 172 inches, and the view, of course.

The mountain was developed by Fred Korman 40 years ago in 1965 as a recreational area. Its original name of Owl's Head was retained to preserve the identity and spirit of the Abenaki Indian tribe, the area's original inhabitants. The resort continues to grow with real estate development and on-mountain improvements.
