Bopping from the Seattle area to Stevens Pass is easy for day skiing. But converting the trip into an overnight at Leavenworth makes it into a short, refreshing getaway. A ski and stay package makes the trip planning easy, too.
Washington's Stevens Pass Ski Area and Leavenworth are located 35 miles apart. Stevens Pass spreads out bowls, glades, and open slopes for skiers and snowboarders, including the new South Park terrain and cleaned out glades on the back side. The Bavarian village of Leavenworth offers the amenities of a winter resort with plenty of après, dining, and night activities.
The Getaway Package from Stevens Pass combines skiing or snowboarding with overnighting in Leavenworth for two people. The package includes a daily Flex8 lift ticket, which lets you start and end your ski day whenever you want. A VIP Activity Card is also included.
The VIP Activity Card adds on all kinds of discounts for dining, shopping, sleigh rides, snowmobiling, and more. After skiing, you can get 50 percent of tubing at the Leavenworth Winter Sports Club Ski Hill, and $1 off pints at Icicle Brewing Company.
The package is only available with participating hotel properties in Leavenworth. You can get this package for nine downtown hotels including Adventure Inn, Obertal Inn, Alpine Rivers Inn, Dream House Suites, Leavenworth Village Inn, Linderhof Inn, Alpenrose Inn, Fairbridge Inn and Suites, and Howard Johnson. To be closer to Stevens Pass, you can stay in one of the five 59’er Cabins. Icicle Village Resort and Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort offer more upscale accommodations with full service amenities.
The Getaway Package for two people starts at $149 per night for midweek stays and $199 per night for weekend stays. It is available all season long, with the exception of Feb. 15-18, 2013.
