Ross Power, two-time Olympic medal winner (Gold 2002, Bronze 1998) and X-Games champion, is hosting a one-day snowboard camp at Mount Sunapee March 7.

Powers and top coaches from around the country will offer a fast-paced riding and training session in Mount Sunapee's SoBe Freeride Zone intended to help propel snowboarders to the next level.

Powers will ride with each group and give personal instruction to each rider.

Snowboarders will be grouped according to ability and interest. Groups will range in size from six to eight riders. Powers will rotate through the groups to make sure he works will all participants. At the end of the day, Powers, his coaches, and camp participants celebrate with a pizza party and videos of the day's events.

Cost is $149 per person, lift ticket extra. First come, first served.

The camp is open to intermediate and advanced snowboarders 10 and older.

Proceeds benefit the Ross Powers Foundation a non-profit foundation established to help athletes with financial need.

Mount Sunapee, located in Newbury, N.H., has 10 lifts, including 3 quads (1 high-speed), 2 triples, 1 double, and 4 surface. There are 65 trails and slopes covering 22 miles of terrain. The Ridge Trail is the longest at two miles.
