Take a lesson for a couple of days and get a season pass at Ski Granby Ranch. The deal is called Get On The Snow (love the name). For $199, you’ll get two days of lessons, your rental equipment, and lift tickets. The resort adds a season pass upon completion of the program.
“Just for the lessons alone, it’s a good deal,” says Lisa Craig, marketing manager for Ski Granby Ranch. “Throw in a season pass and you just can’t beat it.”
Craig says it is perfect for beginners. “You’ll be on the mountain and making turns before it’s all over.” The program promises you’ll ski alone on green runs, be able to stop and control your speed, load and unload the lifts with confidence, ski in a parallel fashion with edging, read a ski map while planning your runs and navigating the mountain safely, and return for the rest of the winter with a season pass to practice your skills.
Craig says it is also great if you want to learn a new discipline. “If you are a skier and want to learn to snowboard, it’s the perfect program.”
The retail value of the deal, including the season pass, is $685. The GOTS program is for those 10 years old and up. “We want to create confident, competent lifelong skiers here at Granby Ranch, who embrace the sport of skiing for years to come.”
The GOTS program is by reservation only through March 7.
Ski Granby Ranch, formerly SolVista, is 20 miles away from Winter Park. The town of Granby sits at the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.
