Every year at Groundhog Day, skiers and riders cross their fingers that ol' Phil will see his shadow and declare six more weeks of winter are in store. This year, however, Phil's shadow was absent -- we're blaming solar flares -- but Sunday River's fearless mascot Eddy the Yeti's shadow was visible and larger than life. Dreading the thought of a early spring, especially after last season's sub-par snowfall, Sunday River has decided to veto Phil's vernal forecast and announced Six Weeks of Savings to extend the season for all. Good work, Eddy.
Each week through Monday, March 11, 2013, the resort will post a new deal of the week to help skiers and riders save on their late winter trips to the mountain. First up is Presidents' Week, during which the resort is cutting lodging rates in half for early bookers.
For just $105 (normally $210) per night skiers and riders can get a room at the Snow Cap Inn and enjoy a hearty breakfast the next morning. Valid for stays during Presidents' Week, February 15-21, 2013. Two night stay required. This offer has very limited availability. Only 10 rooms are available to book each day, so make haste. Reservations must be made by calling a Sunday River lodging agent (800-543-2754) before this week’s deal ends on Monday, February 11, 2013.
Keep checking sundayriver.com for new deals to be posted every Monday by noon.
