You came to ride Wolf Creek Ski Area, but come this weekend and you’ll be howling at the moon by the end of the night. Pagosa Spring's four-day WinterFest, Feb. 7-10, returns for another year, bringing with it The Outlaw Snowdown country music festival, Feb. 8 and 9.
As the highlight of the 2013 WinterFest, the Outlaw Snowdown will feature cowpunk and Americana music from the likes of Shooter Jennings, Micky and the Motorcars, Whitey Morgan & The 78’s, Lydia Loveless, Fifth on the Floor, Chad Sullins & the Last Call Coalition, Caitlin Cannon & The Artillery and the Brooks-i Band on Friday and Saturday night. Bands will take to the stage 5-10:30 p.m. at the main stage area across from Town Park on both nights. Attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Ticket packages start at $50 for a single-day ticket or $75 for a full weekend pass, but it might be worth a splurge with the Ski, Soak and Rock pass for $190. This extravagant festival pass includes admission to all the music for both nights as well as access to The Springs Resort hot springs pools and a two-day lift tickets to Wolf Creek for a little extra pleasure. Lodging packages are also available. To purchase ticket packages online, click here.
Between all the music, explore the other offerings during the 2013 WinterFest, including a Chilly Bowl taste-off, sled races, snow sculpting contests, a polar swim and plenty more. Visit the Pagosa Chamber of Commerce's website for more event details.
