Montana’s Moonlight Basin may garner a big mountain reputation for its Headwaters cliffs and chutes, terrain for the upcoming Subaru Freeride World Tour. But it also caters to families with buffed-out groomers that roll and undulate through the forest below Lone Peak. Families can also style out a spring break ski vacation with a free night of lodging.
Families can get a fourth night of lodging free and discounted lift tickets for Moonlight Basin. In addition to the deals, they can put together a memorable vacation that includes highlights such as a visit to nearby Yellowstone National Park.
Moonlight Lodging is offering the fourth night free in March for spring break trips. The added free night is available in slopeside mountain homes. Luxury accommodations with private hot tubs on their decks and ski in-ski out access are available.
Families can get lift tickets built in with the Moonlight Basin lodging package or purchase lift tickets at a discount through Liftopia. They are available for adults, juniors, seniors, and youth. (Kids five years old and younger ski free.) Discounts on lift tickets purchased online for March vary between 14-26 percent off. Discounted two day lift tickets are also available. In order to get the discount, tickets must be purchased at least three days in advance.
Families can also add on several activities to spring break vacations. Snowshoeing, dogsledding, and sleigh ride dinners run through spring. With the proximity to Yellowstone National Park, the family can take a day off the slopes to tour the park by snowcoach or snowmobile.
