Family resorts know how to pair up a day on the slopes and kid-friendly après fun. In Idaho, Silver Mountain Resort takes that pairing to another level. Families can ski, snowboard, or snow tube by day and then head for the beach for splashing in waves.

Silver Mountain, located in Kellogg right on I-90 in Idaho’s Panhandle, bundles up the whole family getaway into a package. The Morning Star Lodge provides the housing in studios or condos while the gondola whisks skiers and snowboarders up to the chairlifts, runs, and snow tubing hill. After skiing and tubing, families return to the lodge to play in Silver Rapids, the indoor waterpark.

The resort is offering two packages this winter that combine snow and water play. Both packages include lodging, tickets for skiing or snow tubing, and admission to the waterpark. The snow tube version costs $65 per person per night while the skiing and snowboarding version costs $89 per person per night.

Both package rates are based on a stay for a family of two adults and two children with lodging in a deluxe studio. Upgrades to roomier condos are available for higher rates.

Silver Mountain has family-friendly terrain with a concentration of intermediate runs, a terrain park, and lesson programs for kids. Four snow tubing lanes provide a place for family laughter with easy access on a moving carpet. The waterpark features floating rivers, waves, sprays, islands, slides, and hot pools.
