How’s this for a great deal offered by Minnesota’s Wild Mountain: Ski the rest of the season for just $50 if you purchase a season pass for next season.

Located northeast of Minneapolis on the Minnesota-Wisconsin border overlooking the St. Croix River, Wild Mountain boast 26 runs served by four quad chair lifts, three ropes and one conveyor/carpet with 300 feet of vertical, it’s “just north enough,” as its motto says, for metro Twin Cities skiers and riders.

Right now, get your 2013-14 season pass for a hugely discounted price of $235 (regular price $400), and for $50 extra, ski anytime, all the time for the rest of this season. That’s a saving of more than $165.

Other deals include its half-price Tuesdays. Just bring in the coupon available online and cash in. On Mondays, adults can buy a lift ticket and rentals for $54, a $15 savings, while their kids aged 6-12 get on the slopes for $41, a $14 savings.

Other similar deals include upcoming Friends & Family Fun Days, which next falls on President’s Day, Feb. 18. Click on the online coupon and ski or ride for $33, and get a lesson thrown in free. While you're there, also try out the area's four terrain parks and tubing hill.

New this year, Wild Mountain increased its snowmaking 30 percent, allowing it to claim the title of the first ski area in the nation to open, on Oct. 7.
