It's not often that Midwest ski areas are the big winners of the week in terms of snowfall, but this past week they got nailed with some good ol' lake effect snow.

Resorts from Michigan through Pennsylvania and New York had upwards of 20" of new snow, (Peek n' Peak in New York had 36"!) and the skiing looks to be in great shape heading into this weekend. Check out the stellar snowfall totals from this past week for those three states, and some great photos:
