Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows have provided over 300 lift tickets to local non-profit organizations to sell at a discount. Skiers and snowboarders can purchase these lift tickets at any of the five non-profits, including Arts for The Schools, KidsZone Museum, Sierra Senior Services, Sierra Avalanche Center and Truckee Humane Society to hit the slopes for cheap as well as show support to their choice organization.

The lift tickets purchased will be valid any one day between Sunday through Friday, Feb. 3-8, 2013 at either or both of the two resorts. The ticket rates are sold directly from the organizations and costs start at $30. That’s a $69 saving.

According to Andy Wirth, president and CEO of Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows, their “role as dedicated members of the Tahoe and Truckee communities is to give back to the organizations that support our guests and employees”. The 300 lift tickets have a ticket window value of $148,500, and the money raised goes directly toward the local organizations.

The two resorts are dedicated to support and enhance the community through backing youth education, snow sports, environment and animal protection, and community efforts to reduce hunger.
