Grouse Mountain Lodge in Whitefish, Montana just completed hotel-wide renovations. From rooms to its restaurant, the lodge saw head-to-toe improvements. This winter, skiers and snowboarders can take advantage of a lodging special to enjoy the fresh upgrades.
Glacier Park, Inc. purchased Grouse Mountain Lodge in 2011 and promptly dug in to making improvements to the 143-room hotel. The rooms, suites, restaurant, and lobby saw complete refurbishing, including the addition of Remedies Day Spa.
This winter, the lodge is offering a ski and stay package. It includes accommodations in a standard room for two people and lift tickets at Whitefish Mountain Resort for two people. The package costs $104 per person per night. For higher rates, the package can be bumped up to accommodations in a deluxe rooms or suites.
The package is available through April 7, 2013, however, some blackout dates apply.
The lodge’s shuttle provides complimentary transportation to and from the ski resort, which is located about 15 minutes away. The shuttle also runs pickups from the airport or Amtrak station and drops skiers off in downtown Whitefish for shopping, dining, or bar-hopping.
Grouse Mountain amenities include a restaurant, bar, outdoor hot tub, and indoor swimming pool. In winter, the golf course that surrounds the lodge transforms into a Nordic center with seven miles of trails groomed for skate and classic skiing. Rentals and lessons are available from Glacier Cyclery’s Nordic Ski Shop.
