Winter Park wants to make sure you and the kids are just as happy off the slopes as on. It’s a family friendly place, that will keep the kids giggling.
Enjoy s’mores by the fire every Wednesday afternoon. It’s for kids and adults and you never know who you’ll meet. It’s a free family activity but the s’mores go fast so grab one before they’re gone.
The new outdoor Village Ice Rink is open every day, from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. during the ski season, weather conditions permitting. Skate rentals are available at Winter Park Resort Rentals, as are family and group skate rental discounts. Free ice skating lessons are available each afternoon at 4 p.m. Play broomball on the ice from 5-7 p.m. every Tuesday through mid March.
Shake it on Disco Skate Nights at the rink. The Village Ice Rink brings out the disco ball and turns up the 70s disco music from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday nights: Jan. 19 and 26, and Feb. 2 and 23.
It’s Kids’ Night Out every Thursday through March 28. The evening of fun is for children ages 4 to 12 years old, offered by the Village at Winter Park. Kids’ Night out is in the Adventure Club Room in the Zephyr Mountain Lodge, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. every Thursday night. It’s free to parents as long as Mom and Dad spend $30 in any commercial outlet at the resort during the hours that your kids are in the program. The kids will be eating dinner at Doc’s Roadhouse, and then playing games, doing crafts, and watching movies. Reserve a space for your child by calling Winter Park Guest Services at 800-729-7907.
Winter Park also has the newest tubing hill in Colorado, free guided mountain tours, Nastar racing, scenic chairlift rides, snowshoe tours and rentals, and ski bikes.
