Regardless of what you’re shopping for, free is always an agreeable price. For first-time skiers and riders, the cost of today's lift tickets can be shocking – nevermind the price of instruction, rentals, or purchasing your own gear. But this is a discouraging way to be introduced to the sport. Instead, learn to love the sport purely for what it is, not based on its dollar-to-enjoyment value.

From Jan. 12 to 18, first-time skiers and riders in New Hampshire can take advantage of a risk-free opportunity to get on snow, while the resorts pick up the tab.

HOW:

First-time downhill skiers and snowboarders receive a free learn to ski or snowboard lesson, equipment rentals & lift ticket (valid for access to beginner terrain.) Participants must register with Ski NH to download a Learn to Ski & Ride Free coupon, then make a reservation with one of the following participating resorts.
