Ohio’s Alpine Valley Under Peak Resorts Management with New Equipment, Deals

Since Ohio’s Alpine Valley ski area became part of the Peak Resorts family, which also operates other Ohio downhill resorts including Mad River, it’s offering some great deals for beginner to expert skiers who flock here from Cleveland, just to the west.

For example, walk in off the street at this resort with eight lifts and tows and a respectable 230 feet of vertical, and you’ll pay $85 for a lesson, a four-hour lift ticket and rentals. Snag one of its learn-to-ski or snowboard packages instead that are available any day, and pay only $47, a 45-percent discount.

It’s two-fer Tuesday deal offers two lift tickets for the price of one between 1 and 8 p.m., or receive $5 off weekend lift ticket rates on weekdays after 3 p.m. Senior skiers and boarders aged 65 and older have fun for just $5 any day.

And, women can still sign up for the Tuesday night learn-to-ski/board classes that began the week of Jan. 8. Attend four consecutive weeks and get a lesson, lift ticket and rentals for $145, or for $110 if you use your own gear.

Alpine has also doubled the size of its rental fleet for this season, added a new groomer, new features to its terrain park, plus terrain park lessons, and upgraded infrastructure to make checking in and getting on the slopes faster. And, don't forget more fun at its tubing park, where it's sprucing up runs after this weekend's unseasonable warmup.
