Deschutes Brewery and Mt. Bachelor Resort may have designed the ultimate traveling ski party. Five bus trips this winter hit the road from Portland, Oregon to Bend for a day on the slopes at Mt. Bachelor followed by a dinner and beers at the Deschutes Brewery’s pub.
The Deschutes Brewery bus heads from Portland to Mt. Bachelor for five trips this winter. The 17-hour round-trip tour party buses are scheduled for Jan. 26, Feb. 18, March 28, April 20, and May 11.
A $99 ticket can get skiers and snowboarders on board the bus tour. In addition, tour participants get a full-day lift ticket for Mt. Bachelor, a $10 food voucher for lunch at the ski resort, and dinner and beer at the Deschutes Brewery Pub in Bend. All skiers and snowboarders on the bus must be 21 years or older.
The bus departs the Deschutes Brewery Pub in Portland at 6 a.m. on each of the five tour days. It is scheduled to return before 11 p.m.

Deschutes Brewery has honored Mt. Bachelor before by naming one of its seasonal beers after the resort’s Red Chair. The Red Chair Northwest Pale Ale has won several awards for its citrusy copper brew.
The brewery is also sponsoring a sweepstakes with the grand prize of a weekend for two at Mt. Bachelor. The prize includes two nights of lodging, three days of lift tickets, airfare, and a VIP tour of the Deschutes Brewery. All sweepstakes entries need to be in by March 31, 2013.
