Avoid I-70 Gridlock At Westin Riverfront In Beaver Creek

Heading home from a weekend on the slopes can be a hassle, if you’re driving east on I-70. Ski traffic can be tough to handle. The Westin Riverfront in Beaver Creek is offering the I-70 Gridlock Avoidance Plan. Book two nights over a Saturday through Wednesday, and you can stay for a third night for free. The Westin will even throw in complimentary valet parking.

“Yes, the three nights must be consecutive and we’re trying to drive more weekday stays, when traffic is not nearly as bad on I-70. So if you arrive on a Sunday, you can stay until Wednesday but only pay for two nights,” says Julie Dunn with Dunn Communications.

Kristen Pryor, Director of Sales & Marketing at The Westin Riverfront, adds, “We recognize that time is precious. We want to help people enjoy their getaway more and spend less time sitting in I-70 weekend traffic by booking a weekday visit - that’s why we’re giving the third weekday night for free. While the weekends are great, lift lines are definitely shorter mid-week, which allows you to make more runs and enjoy the mountain even more.”

The I-70 Gridlock Avoidance Plan must be booked by Feb. 15 but it is valid through the end of the ski season, based on availability. The booking code is Z3R.

A second offer from the Westin is the Weekday Warrior. Rates start at $299 per night and valet parking is included. The offer is available Sunday to Thursday nights through Feb. 5 and is a savings of at least $50 per night. It can only be booked by calling the hotel directly.
