The West Coast will have a break from precipitation for the first time this winter.

A big storm will coat the west with snow as this week turns into the weekend. Powder days will be had all the way from Canada down the spine of the Rocky Mountains into Arizona and New Mexico. Get the snowy details here:

The West Coast will have a break from precipitation for the first time this winter.
Another sign of the good start to the winter, the famous Slides at Whiteface opened on Monday January 7.
Temperatures will stay well below normal over the next week, which should keep snow conditions soft and fun.
