At the end of November, the OnTheSnow staff were fortunate enough to test out some of Rossignol's new skis for 2013/2014 at Vail Mountain, including the brand new Soul 7. The consensus amongst us? These skis rock. After testing them, our common thought was that the new Soul 7 would be a game-changer. The Soul 7 is geared towards an even more "all-mountain" skiing experience.

The ski is 106mm underfoot and light, making it super maneauverable (great for tight tree skiing) while still maintaining great float in the deep stuff. The new airtip technology in the tip and the tail reduces swing weight, allowing these skis to be whipped around with minimal effort. The ski is a perfect combination of a hard-charging, big-mountain freeride ski, with a crud-busting, lightweight, all-mountain one-ski quiver. The newest addition to the 7 Series is sure to be a fan favorite amongst Freeride, Freestyle and Backcountry enthusiasts for years to come.
