Filling up the tank before heading to the mountains to ski or ride? Then, you might want to head to a Shell gas station. Six ski resorts in Oregon are offering discounts that are only available to those who purchase Shell gas.

Here’s how the deal works. You need to buy a minimum of 10 gallons of Shell fuel from a participating station. Then, after signing in agreement to the terms of the voucher, the gas station attendant will stamp your voucher and your gas receipt. When you take both to the ski resort ticket window, you can purchase one full price adult lift ticket and get the second one  free. Both tickets must be used the same day.

At Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort, the Shell vouchers are valid on Fridays during the whole season.

Hoodoo Ski Area is honoring the vouchers on Thursdays for skiing from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and evening skiing on Fridays and Saturdays from 4-9 p.m. Hoodoo plans to accept the vouchers all season.

At Mt. Ashland, the Shell ski vouchers can be used Thursday and Friday evenings, 3-9 p.m. They will be accepted Jan. 10, 2013 through March 15, 2013.

Mt. Hood Meadows accepts the vouchers for skiing Wednesdays and Thursdays 3-9 p.m. But only until March 7, 2013.

Mt. Hood Ski Bowl honors the vouchers on Wednesdays 3-10 p.m. for night skiing. They are also valid Fridays 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Timberline Lodge allows you to redeem the vouchers on Tuesdays for all-day skiing through April 19, 2013. They can also be used for night skiing Fridays and Saturdays 4-10 p.m. However, the vouchers are not good on March 19 or March 26.

While some additional fine print stipulations accompany the vouchers, you can use the Shell discounts until April 19, 2013 or until resorts close for the season. Some resorts set their own seasonal terminations for the program.

Be sure to take both your Shell voucher and your gas receipt to get your lift ticket deal. You can look up the list of participating Shell gas stations here.
