Ah, College Week; the much-anticipated winter break for students everywhere. A week of guilt-free partying with no obligation to books, papers or schedules. Sunday River Resort and Red Bull -- two seasoned organizations who know how to party -- are partnering once again to ensure slope-bound students never get bored... well, until they go back to school anyway. Sunday River’s College Week, running Jan. 7–11, 2013, offers parties, live performances, and lodging and lift ticket packages starting at $89.
By day, students can explore Sunday River’s eight interconnected mountain peaks and 132 trails, and by night, take advantage of drink specials, themed parties, and the following live entertainment schedule:
Monday, January 7: '80s Party featuring Fast Times
Tuesday, January 8: Na Palm with DJ D-LO
Wednesday, January 9: Badfish, a Tribute to Sublime
Thursday, January 10: Lazerdisk Party Sex
All evening entertainment starts between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. in the resort’s Foggy Goggle with doors opening at 9 p.m. Planning to go out every night? Save on all-night parties at the Foggy Goggle by grabbing an all-access pass for the week for only $45.
Students on tight budgets can save on their turns with $39 lift tickets or spring for a “One Night Stand” lodging and lift ticket combo for $89. (Awkward morning-after conversations, optional.)
Students ready to dig in and enjoy a full week at the mountain can grab a 5-day package, including lift tickets, lodging and ski/snowboard clinics, starting at just $309 per person/per night.
On-snow activities kick off for the week with Tailgate Tuesday on January 8. Red Bull will lay out a buttery terrain park build and their mobile DJ booth will provide the jams for freestyle skiers and riders to impress the crowds. On Wednesday, Red Bull’s annual on-mountain scavenger hunt will pit teams of skiers and riders against one another to complete missions across Sunday River's eight peaks and take home sweet prizes. Registration for the scavenger hunt is open Wednesday, January 9 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the South Ridge Lodge Welcome Center.
