Silver Star Mountain Resort once had the reputation for its quaint colorful western village, but luxury has hit the British Columbia ski resort in the form of their Snowbird Lodge.

Drive into the underground heated parking and whisk by elevator to a condo overlooking the slope. Ski all day and return to lounge in luxury. Sink into the private pergola-covered outdoor hot tub on the deck and then put your feet up and have a glass of wine indoors.

The Snowbird Lodge, built in 2006, offers lodging in studios or one-, two-, and three-bedroom condos. The 63 units can sleep two to nine people, depending on configuration. All of the condos are decorated with high-end furnishings, and the lodge includes a fitness room, 24-seat theatre, family lounge, and children’s play area.

The lodge was built with skiers in mind. Lockers are available to store the boards, and a wax room provides space for buffing out the skis. The lodge also sits adjacent to the Summit Chair with true ski in-ski out access.

This January, Silver Star is running a special giveaway for skiers and snowboarders. Those staying a minimum number of nights between Jan. 3-Feb. 7, 2013 can get up to $200 in a resort gift card to use during their stay. The amount varies by the number of nights booked. A minimum of three nights is required for the minimum resort gift card.

Silver Star is off to a stellar winter. A parade of storms delivered around 350 centimeters of snow before Christmas, allowing all 115 runs to open. Take a look at the goods the storms delivered here:
